RF & Wireless Bluetooth Angle-of-Arrival Antenna Board U-blox has announced the u-blox ANT- B11 compact antenna board. By combining Bluetooth technology with the company’s unique expertise, this board delivers highprecision direction finding and 2D indoor positioning. ANT-B11 can be integrated into commercial tracking solutions, ideal for direction-finding applications and indoor positioning in mid-size spaces. Indoor direction-finding, positioning, and convenience ANT-B11, like ANT-B10 launched early this year, contributes to solving the ongoing indoor location challenge, where technologies such as GNSS find difficulties in performing effectively. ANT-B11 is equipped with u-blox NINA-B411 Bluetooth 5.1 module and runs the u-connectLocate software, which executes the unique u-blox angle calculation algorithm. In conjunction with an application board, ANT-B11 functions as an indoor Angle-of-Arrival (AoA) anchor point. The angle calculated by the antenna board does not require any additional processing. Thus, it is ready for use at the application level. Depending on its orientation, ANT-B11 outputs the final azimuth or elevation angle with high accuracy in fractions of a second. With this information, it is possible to track assets and plot their positions in applications aiming at 2D visualization. For 3D visualization, our customers can keep relying on ANT-B10. ANT-B11 combines the accuracy of ANT-B10 with the smallest possible package. Thanks to its 29.5 x 93.5 mm compact size, ANT-B11 easily fits existing enclosures or casings. Furthermore, one main challenge in the positioning industry is to provide affordable indoor solutions. With u-blox unique technology, indoor positioning systems with high precision at a reasonable cost are now a reality. Wide spectrum of applications Following u-blox tradition, this product can thrive in any direction-finding application. It can be used to follow assets in indoor areas, grant building access, and avoid collisions, making it ideal for industrial, retail, and medical environments. In addition, it can be used in indoor spaces for positioning purposes wherein showing the location of an asset in 2D may suffice. u-blox www.u-blox.com New Series of 12G SDI Cables, Connectors New High-Power Switches 100 Ohms Termination Pasternack has broadened its line of highly reliable 12G SDI interconnects engineered to maximize 4K and ultra-HD video signal transmission. RF & Wireless Market Ready End-to-end Positioning Solutions for ADAS Automotive Multi-band GNSS Module number of visible satellites even in urban conditions. ZED-F9K-01A includes a dependable protection level output and advanced security features including anti-spoofing and antijamming. Operation up to 105 ºC makes it possible to integrate the product anywhere in the car without design constraints. u-blox www.u-blox.com U-blox , a global provider of leading positioning and wireless communication technology and services, and GMV, a leader in safe positioning systems, have partnered to provide ready-to-use functional safe positioning solutions. Functional safety is becoming increasingly indispensable for automated or autonomous driving vehicles within the automotive and industrial sectors. Background: Currently, customers must spend significant effort to develop and integrate hardware and software from several vendors for a functional safe positioning solution. GMV’s leading safety algorithms and augmentation service combined with u-blox leading positioning hardware and software will be integrated in a ready-to-use solution. The offering is designed to save efforts and accelerate time-to-market while enjoying the advantage of a cost-effective, proven functional safe positioning solution. The unique, ready-to-use functional safe positioning solution will be marketed by u-blox complementing its existing GNSS receiver portfolio and advanced GNSS augmentation service PointPerfect. Further details will be announced in early 2023. u-blox www.u-blox.com 40 GHz Fixed RF Attenuators Pasternack, an Infinite Electronics brand, has expanded its line of 40 GHz fixed RF attenuators with 2.92 mm connectors that lower the amplitudes of signals in a wide variety of applications. Pasternack’s 40 GHz attenuator pads are engineered for preventing signal overload in amplifiers, detectors and receivers and U-blox has announced the u-blox ZED- F9K-01A, a high-precision GNSS module with embedded advanced hardware, software, and latest generation IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) to provide an advanced, self-contained positioning solution. The module supports both L1/ L2/E5B and L1/L5 bands for maximum flexibility, satellite availability, and security. It combines multi-band and multiconstellation global navigation satellite system (GNSS) technology with dead reckoning high-precision RTK (real-time kinematic), which enables decimeterlevel accuracy. The u-blox ZED-F9K-01A natively supports the u-box PointPerfect GNSS augmentation service. It delivers multiple GNSS and IMU outputs in parallel to support all possible architectures, including a 50 Hz sensor-fused solution with very low latency. It enables advanced real-time applications, while the optimized multi-band and multiconstellation capability maximizes the adjusting RF signal levels to an optimal range. These 40 GHz fixed RF attenuators protect measurement equipment and other circuitry by reducing RF power. The attenuators increase the range of power meters and amplifiers and are capable of impedance-matching circuits because of their low SWR seen by adjacent RF components. These new RF attenuator models from Pasternack feature power ratings of 2 watts up to 40 GHz and provide attenuation levels of 0 to 10, 12, 15, 20 and 30 dB.
