RF & Wireless Fixed

RF & Wireless Fixed Frequency Synthesizer Z-Communications, Inc. announced a new RoHS compliant fixed frequency phase locked loop model RFS1090A-LF in the L-band. The RFS1090A-LF is a fully integrated synthesizer operating at 1090 MHz which is phase locked to an internal 10 MHz reference with a stability of ±2.5 ppm. This low cost PLL features a typical phase noise of -93 dBc/Hz, -98 dBc/Hz, and -118 dBc/Hz at the 1, 10 and 100 kHz offsets, respectively. The RFS1090A-LF is designed to deliver an output power of 3 dBm while operating off a VCO voltage supply of 5 V and drawing 35 mA and a phase locked loop voltage of 3 V while drawing 10 mA. This unmatched product features a 2nd harmonic suppression of 20 dBc and spurious suppression of 62 dBc. It is housed in Z-Comm‘s standard PLL-V12N package measuring 0.6 x 0.6 x 0.13 in. The RFS1090A-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and is available in tape and reel packaging. ■ Z-Communications, Inc. www.zcomm.com Fully-integrated 5 GHz 802.11ac Frontend Skyworks is proud to introduce the SKY85716-11, a fully-integrated 5 GHz 802.11ac frontend solution that supports connectivity for nominal power applications including access points, routers and gateways. This high performance WiFi product incorporates an SPDT transmit/receive switch, LNA with bypass and a power amplifier. It also includes an enable/disable function that allows for power savings during off mode. Because the SKY85716-11 occupies minimal board space, the solution is ideal for highstream-count designs, compact devices an emerging wireless mesh networks when combined with modem reference designs. ■ Skyworks Solutions, Inc. www.skyworks.com 3400 F Ultracapacitor Cell Richardson RFPD, Inc. announced the availability and full design support capabilities for a new ultracapacitor cell from Maxwell Technologies. The Maxwell 3 V, 3400 F cell has been designed to be the highest energy, highest power workhorse of its ultracapacitor portfolio. Whether used alone, integrated into a module assembly, or in a hybrid configuration, Maxwell’s BCAP3400 P300 K04 will help reduce the overall cost and weight of the system while improving the customer’s return on investment. Customers can seamlessly upgrade to the 3 V cell from any of the current 3000 F or 3400 F products. The new ultracapacitor cell is designed to support the latest trends in renewable energy, industrial electrification and transportation, including heavy transportation, heavy industrial and stationary solutions, and grid and microgrid applications. Key features of the BCAP3400 P300 K04 include 30 kW/kg of specified power, 4.25 Wh of stored energy, up to 1,000,000 duty cycles or 10-year DC life. ■ Richardson RFPD www.richardsonrfpd.com Low-Noise Amplifier supports SDARS RFMW, Ltd. announced design and sales support for an ultra low-noise amplifier from Qorvo. The QPL6207Q is designed for SDARS automotive active antenna applications from 2320 to 2345 MHz. With noise figure of 0.45 dB and 35 dBm output IP3, the QPL6207Q is offered in a 2 x 2 mm QFN package making it ideal for high performance applications where space savings are required. Gain is 18.5 dB. It draws 55 mA from a 4.5 V supply and can be biased from positive supply rails from 3.3 to 5.25 V. ■ RFMW, Ltd. info@rfmw.com www.rfmw.com BAW Filter Enables WiFi/LTE Coexistence RFMW, Ltd. announced design and sales support for a 2.4 GHz BAW filter. Qorvo’s QPQ1907 coexistence bandpass filter has extremely steep attenuation skirts allowing simultaneous low insertion loss in the WiFi band and high, near-in rejection in the 2.6 GHz bands. BAW performance is enhanced with Qorvo’s LowDrift technology and the QPQ1907 offers extended temperature range of -20 to +95 degrees C. Ideal for small cells, routers, set-top boxes and smart meters, this filter is used when 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth radios could potentially see interference from LTE signals, especially B7 and B41. Offered for single-ended operation, it comes in a 1.4 x 1.2 mm package.
